We are thrilled to announce that Sherry Serafini will be coming to teach for two days at Beads'N More on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, 2009. For those of you who may not be familiar with Sherry, she is a Master Beader and one of the foremost beaders in the world. Perhaps you are familiar with her latest book, The Art of Bead Embroidery. Oops! I'm getting a little carried away here so let us tell you about the workshops she will be teaching. By the way, each class is $75.00 plus kit. She teaches the same or similar classes at the Bead & Button show for more than 3 times that amount. On Saturday, May 9, she will be teaching her "Crystal Haze Cuff" bracelet. This is a beautiful cuff bracelet with a large focal gemstone and crystals. It is pattern-oriented and you will backstitch and peyote stitch around a cabochon to create a bezel. Right angle weave is worked into the design to create a cuff that sparkles with Swarovski embellishment. There is a picture below and the kit comes in two colors - black and amber. The kit for this class is $125.00.
On Sunday, May 10, Sherry is teaching her "Freeform Art Pendant." The kit for this class is $95.00. Students will design a shape of their own unique pendant. We will explore shape, color, composition and discuss the various ways to display the pendant.
We are so excited to have Sherry coming to teach for us as this is an opportunity to learn from a Master teacher that doesn't come along very often.
