MAY, 2010 CLASS SCHEDULE

Please note that there are several classes (description and cost at the end of this class schedule) that can be taught at any time for one or more people.  All you need to do is arrange a day and a time.

 

 

 

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION

 

  • Please make reservations for classes no later than one week in advance of scheduled class date.
  • Class fee is due at the time of reservation.  A 24-hour notice is required for class cancellation; registration fees will be refunded in the form of a store credit, IF 24-HOUR NOTICE IS GIVEN.
  • Please plan on arriving at least 30-45 minutes before scheduled class time to pick out your supplies.
  • Four and five hour classes include a lunch break.  There are several places in the plaza to choose from.

Bejeweled Windows Bracelet – Saturday, May 1, 1:00-4:00 pm - $35.00 plus supplies – Alyson Allen.  This is one of our new classes and its name fits the bracelet perfectly.  It is very regal looking with just the right amount of bling.  Look for a picture of it on our website.  Skill level:  familiarity with herringbone helpful.

 

Gwenivere’s Cuff – Saturday, May 8, 10:30-3:30 pm (lunch break) - $45.00 plus supplies – Vicki Star.  Make this lacy cuff bracelet using Vicki’s special easy Right Angle Weave variation. New beaders, use 11º seed beads and 4mm crystals for a beautiful and MUCH easier-to-learn version (it’s easier to see the bigger beads). Experienced beaders can use 14ºs and 3mm crystals for a truly delicate look.  Skill level: Beginner

Ear Swirls – Thursday, May 13, 6:00-8:00 pm - $25.00 – Vicki Star.  Vicki will show you how easy it is to create glamorous earrings that swirl up your ears - using pearls, semi-precious beads or crystals, and basic wire-working techniques.  Skill level:  Beginner

 

 

Peyote Pizzazz – Saturday, May 15, 10:30-3:30 pm (lunch break) - $45.00 plus supplies – Debbie McCormick – This is one of our favorite classes.  You will make a peyote cuff which you will embellish with seed beads and then add a crystal picot edge.  You’re going to want to make more than one of these – we guarantee!!!  Prerequisite:  Peyote

 

 

Ribbon Bracelet – Thursday, May 27, 6:00-9:00 pm - $35.00 plus supplies – Vicki Star -- This bracelet is inspired by Kathleen Kimball-Baker’s “Jewel of India” bracelets in the October 2004 issue of Beadwork magazine.  Vicki worked out her own method of beading these beautiful ribbon-like bracelets.  Learn to make the bracelet, plus a matching beaded toggle clasp with Vicki’s favorite stitch – the Herringbone (Ndebele) stitch.  Skill level:  Beginner/Intermediate

 

 

Crystal Wire Knit Bracelet – Saturday, May 29, 10:30-1:30 pm - $35.00 plus supplies – Sharon Hessoun -- Sharon will teach the old but new technique of knitting with a wooden spool.  You will also be able to make necklaces and ankle bracelets with the same technique.  Warning:  This is an addictive bracelet!  Skill level:  Beginner.
